GOLF

This magnificent golf course is a creation of the renowned golf course architect, Arthur Hills, and was cut through a serene area of pine trees in 1969. In 2004, the tees and fairways were completely refurbished, and new tiff eagle greens were constructed.

Palmetto-Pine offers challenge and pleasure from any of five sets of tees ranging in yardage from 5197 to 6700. Golfers share the course with species of exotic birds and wildlife, making Palmetto-Pine an enjoyable walking course, although most members use their personal carts, walking is welcome at any time.
Course Architect Arthur Hills:
“As a golf course architect from Toledo Ohio, I have designed many golf courses throughout the world over the past 40 or so years. However, the first one is always special. In 1969, I designed Palmetto-Pine Country Club. It holds a unique place of honor for me because it was my first design in Florida. I particularly love the inherent challenges when creating courses in Florida. Giving consideration for all skill levels, PPCC can be as demanding or as easy as the golfer chooses. As an added bonus, the layout continues to be a fun and enjoyable course for both walkers and cart users.”
